Success Stories

Success comes in many forms. We are proud of all that our scholars have achieved! Meet some of the incredible people who have graduated from our program.
Brandon Davis-Pearl
Brandon attended St. Vivian Elementary followed by Roger Bacon High School and graduated in 2011. He currently lives in Norfolk, Virginia working as an Aviation Electronics Technician for the United States Navy. His job includes installing, testing and repairing electronic equipment pertaining to the aircraft communication, radar, navigation and weapons systems. He is also a talented photographer and artist.
Greg Scruggs
Greg joined BHGH at the age of 13 following the death of his father. He received counseling and following 8th grade graduation from St. Vivian Elementary; enrolled in St. Xavier High School. His senior year, he led the St. Xavier football team to a state championship and went on to study at the University of Louisville on a football scholarship. Following graduation, Greg was drafted into the NFL, and began his career in Seattle. He is currently with the New England Patriots and just added a second Super Bowl ring to his list of accomplishments. He remains close to Boys Hope Girls hope serving as the National Spokesperson.
Jabril Bryant
Jabril entered the Boys Hope Girls Hope program at the age of fifteen. He attended DePaul Cristo Rey High School and received the Credo Perago Floreo Award, the highest honor presented at commencement. He is currently a double major in Screenwriting/Producing and Marketing at Ohio University. Jabril’s kind heart, creativity and perseverance led him to chase after big dreams and he aspires to be a film producer and digital media creator upon graduation.
Daniel Braswell
Daniel graduated from St. Xavier High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Cincinnati. Daniel is an outstanding example of someone who has continued to give back to the program. He helps scholars write speeches, assists them with paperwork for college applications and scholarships, and regularly gives speeches about his journey at BHGH fundraising events.
Daryl Taylor
Daryl started with BHGH while attending St. Vivian Elementary. He attended Eastern Michigan University on scholarship, where he studied engineering. After graduating, he decided to stay in Michigan and is currently working as an Applications Engineer at Nordson Sealant Equipment. He works hard and is enjoying life. Daryl traveled around the country this past year, visiting friends in Colorado, New York, Las Vegas and a Boys Hope brother living in Los Angeles. One day, he hopes to move back to Cincinnati so he can give back to the BHGH program.
